Cincinnati, Ohio is situated in southern Ohio right on the Ohio River and very close to the Kentucky and Indiana borders. That is usually why this area is called the tri-state area with the 3 states in close proximity to one another. The cost of living in this city is very reasonable and much lower than a lot of other metropolitan locations in the country. There are many communities within the city limits in addition as just outside downtown Cincinnati that offer various kinds of housing such as Cincinnati apartments or Cincinnati apartment rentals, condos and town homes, and rental houses. This article look into various leasing options for people to rent.

If you are a young career professional, barely out of college and would like to live near your new job in downtown Cincinnati there are several various apartment options. If you don’t mind being in a tall building, then there are a few that are located in the downtown area that may be of interest for you. There is not a large number of residential properties located smack downtown but many apartment buildings within a 10 minute drive or so.

The Newport, Kentucky area has been reestablishing itself over the past ten years and working to improve itself to draw more residents and businesses to relocate there. Just twenty years ago, this area was riddled with crime and quite rundown but now this ideal location directly on the river looking back at the Cincinnati skyline has improved with a nice riverfront area of restaurants and shops and a beautiful aquarium also. Now rehabbed residential properties, Particularly some beautiful condos and town homes are in Newport and some of them are built in former warehouse style buildings that give some wonderful character to the properties.

If you wish to lease a house because you have kids or you wish to live with several friends, then think about looking in the charmy and trendy neighborhood of Mount Adams. This is located on top of the tallest hill in Cincinnati overlooking the skyline, the river and all of the downtown area in general. The winding, hilly roads are much like a small scaled San Francisco with vibrant painted, Victorian style houses with almost as many restaurants and bars as houses. To get a rental house in this location, the space may be smaller and cost more because of the great location. This is the top location to be for the 20 something crowd.

One area that has gone downhill and constantly is trying to clean up its crime filled profile is the part of downtown called Over-The Rhine. Some people are purchasing places and remodeling them up to attract new renters that live in a great building that is updated but has spectacular architectural history to it for a lot less money. It will probably be some years for this to become successfully though. Over-the Rhine has the great year round Findley Market and some wonderful art venues but needs to lower the crime in the neighborhood also.
